Comprising the NCTU members are drivers of a variety of land transportation such as: jeepney, taxi (including FX), bus, tricycle and many of its local variants (padyak, habal-habal, motorela, center-cab) – as well as women transportworkers and small-time operators or driver-owners of one or a few units of passenger vehicles. It also includes others who work in the transport sector, like the conductors. The overwhelming majority of NCTU members are in the informal sector. However, the unions of formally employed workers in the transport and related industry may also affiliate with the NCTU.
